OTTO-Quartier – historic buildings | Wendlingen am Neckar

Working and living in a historic environment

Where history meets the future: The OTTO-Quartier is a future-oriented quarter that offers its users and residents cross-generational and community-oriented added value. The innovative BETTERWORX AT OTTO brand and utilisation concept combines culture, production, innovation and living.

The heritage industrial building on the site of the former Heinrich Otto & Söhne spinning and weaving empire is an absolute jewel. The imposing boiler and turbine house stands as a landmark for the town of Wendlingen. The three-storey spinning building with its distinctive turrets and art nouveau detailing inside is to be preserved and regenerated. Other historic structures like the weaving mill, Bergmann turbine hall and hydraulic turbine hall complete the listed heritage ensemble.
